I visited a Buddhist temple in the hills to pray for a safe and peaceful journey in life. Whilst I was walking around the small garden of the temple, which was facing one of the lower valleys of sub-montane forest in the state of Pahang, I noticed a hornbill flying and perching very quietly on the lower branch of a tree. The inner birdwatcher in me couldn't help but log into eBird the species of birds seen or heard at the temple garden area and around the training institute for the Ministry of Housing & Local Government. Meanwhile in Malaysia, tis the season for malls to put up fancy Christmas decorations, play Xmas songs with chocolates of every kind available for sale. Malaysia's very own homegrown chocolate brand Beryl's was the case study which formed part of the Trademark Agents examination that my workplace colleague and myself sat for on 28th October 2024.
