Bamboo Woodpecker
Bamboo Woodpecker spotted along New Gap Road of Fraser Hill in July 2015. Last bird spotted on that Saturday evening. This is the second time I've seen this woodpecker species in Fraser's. The first was many years ago when walking up the Old Gap Road, when Gap Resthouse was still operational and serving home-made marmalade for breakfast and afternoon tea.
I dont know what your destiny will be but one thing I do know; the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve - Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)

Bamboo Woodpecker beak is visible for a few seconds in video. Using 2009 Sony Camcorder & hand-holding it whilst trying to film this elusive species. Can hear it hammering it away at the bamboo.
